Emily Bingham, Campaign Manager
Emily Bingham was born in Ogden, Utah, and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area. She majored in theatre arts at Utah State University. While there, she co-chaired the College Democrats and was the student campaign manager for the successful Frank Prante for Legislature campaign in 1988. After graduating, Emily worked in sales and marketing for the next fifteen years while volunteering for her favorite Democratic candidates.
In 2006, Emily was the Democratic candidate for Utah Senate District 28. Shortly thereafter, she was hired as the Communications Director of the Utah House Democratic Caucus. In 2008, she was campaign manager for Karen Morgan for Utah Senate, and under Emily’s leadership, Karen won with 53% of the vote. In January 2012, Emily was appointed Communications Director of the Utah Senate Democrats. After a brief hiatus from politics, Emily ran the Scott Howell for US Senate campaign in 2012 and has consulted many small legislative and municipal campaigns in Utah since then. She is currently the Campaign Manager for Dr. Kathie Allen for State Senate.
Daniel Friend, Communications Director
Daniel Craig Friend graduated from BYU in 2005 with a degree in English language and editing. He serves as a state delegate in the Utah Democratic Party and as a member of the LDS Dems op-ed team. He is the author of the book Why More Mormons Should Be Democrats and Why America Should Pay Attention. Besides Utah, he has lived in California, Missouri, and Texas, and served an LDS mission in Montevideo, Uruguay.
Kseniya Kniazeva, Finance Director
Kseniya Kniazeva was born in Russia but has lived in Utah since she was 12, attending middle and high school in St. George, Utah, before graduating from the University of Utah with an Honors Political Science B.A. and a B.A. in International Studies. She later received a M.A. from Kent University in International Development Economics. She has lived, worked, and traveled all over the world.
Kseniya has a strong background in development, finance, and fundraising in nonprofit and political settings, working as Fundraising Director for the Scott Howell for Senate campaign; Finance Director for the Alma Adams for US Congress campaign; and most recently Director of Development for AND JUSTICE FOR ALL, a large civil legal aid nonprofit in Utah. She has been trained by the DCCC as a finance director. In her spare time, you can find her in the Wasatch Mountains.
Jeff Dixon, Field Director
Jeff Dixon was born and raised in Salt Lake City and graduated from the University of Utah with degrees in economics and political science. For the last five years, he’s played a key role in multiple election victories. He was Executive Director for the Salt Lake County Democratic Party when they successfully protected the County Democratic Caucus incumbents. He devised the winning voter contact strategy for in the 2015 Salt Lake City Mayoral race, and in 2016 the campaign he managed unseated an incumbent Nevada assemblyman. He enjoys a tall, cold diet root beer.
Tiffany Steck, Deputy Campaign Manager
Tiffany Steck was born and raised in Utah. While running for Murray City Council, Tiffany discovered that what she really loves is supporting good candidates from behind the scenes. She’s since worked as Operations Manager in a gubernatorial race and as Campaign Manager in Karen Kwan’s successful bid for Utah House. Tiffany keeps her four children extremely active in the community through volunteer service activities.
